Mega Projects of İstanbul Increasing The Value of Properties in İstanbul

Mega Projects in İstanbul such as; Kanal İstanbul (Canal Project), Marmaray (Underground Railway Project), Ankara – İstanbul YHT (High Speed Railway Project), 3. Airport of İstanbul, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (3. Bosphorus Bridge), Grand 3 Story İstanbul Tunnel Project are changing the face of Turkey.
In last 13 years Turkey’s Ministry of Transportation, Shipping and Communications has implemented big projects like Marmaray (Underground Railway Project), Ankara – İstanbul YHT (High Speed Railway Project), other than these the Construction of Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (3. Bosphorus Bridge) and İstanbul – İzmir Highway Project has started. companies  Meanwhile the arrangements for the Tenders of Kanal İstanbul (Canal Project) and Grand 3 Story İstanbul Tunnel Project have also started. Real estate companies have seen the potential around the project areas and have started the new housing projects therefore new opportunities have occured for investing in Istanbul.

Grand 3 Story İstanbul Tunnel Project
To Reduce the traffic problems, Grand 3 Story İstanbul Tunnel Project has reached the tendering state. The tunnel will contain 2 roads for cars and 1 railway and the lenght of the tunnel will be 6,5 kilometers. With this project 9 Railways of İstanbul will be connected to each other and the all roads of the 3 bridges of bosphorus will be connected as well. The Project will provide the highway transition for the FSM Bridge and the underground railway transition for the Boğaziçi Bridge by one single line.
When the Project is completed, it will take 14 minutes to go from Çamlık to Hasdal and it will take 40 minutes to go from İncirli directly to Söğütlüçeşme by this 6500 meters long tunnel. 3. Airport and the bridges will be connected via axles to maximise the time saving. The tender of the project will be compeleted in next couple months and it will be ready to use in next 5 years. 

Ankara To İstanbul In 1 Hour 15 Minutes
Ankara – İstanbul High Speed Railway Project is an another important project that will reduce the time of going Ankara from İstanbul to 1 hour 15 minutes.

İstanbul To İzmir In 3,5 Hours
Purpose of this project is to reduce the time of going İzmir from İstanbul to 3,5 hours, The Project also aims to build world’s second longest bridge, between Dilovası and Hersek. Lenght of the bridge will be 3 kilometers and it will take only 6 minutes to go the distance over the bridge.

First Stage of The 3. Airport Will Be Completed in 2018
When the 3. Airport of İstanbul completed, it will have 150 million passenger capacity and it is built on 76 millon square meters of land area. The Airport will be completed in 4 stages and it will serve with 165 passenger bridge, 4 terminal buildings, 3 technical blocks and air traffic towers, 8 control towers, 6 private runways, 16 taxi roads, apron with 500 plane capacity, honour lounge, cargo terminal, house for guests of the state, indoor and outdoor parking lots with total of 70 000 car capacity, medical center for aviation, hotels, fire department, places of worship, congress center and power plants. Estimated cost of this massive airport is 10 billion and 247 thousand euros and by the end of 2018 first part will be completed.

Gayrettepe To 3. Airport in 26 minutes
To ease the transportation to the 3. Airpot and reduce the traffic in İstanbul, the preparations of Gayrettepe – 3. Airport subway line has started. With this new underground railway going to the new airport will take less than 26 minutes. This subway line will be connected to the other subway lines therefore people can go 3. Airport from both Asia and Europe in a very short time.

Kadıköy To Sabiha Gökçen Airpot in 46 minutes
Another project that Ministry of Transportation, Shipping and Communications planing to do is Kaynarca - Sabiha Gökçen Airpot subway line. This 7,4 kilometers long line make it possible to go Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Kaynarca in just 13 minutes. With this project; Kadıköy – Kartal – Kaynarca, Kaynarca – Tuzla, Kaynarca – Pendik subway lines will be connected to the Sabiha Gökçen Airport therefore going to the Sabiha Gökçen Airport from Kadıköy will take 46 minutes.
